2002 Nike Athletes of the Year

the dominant high school track and field athletes
of the 2001-2002 school year

Tommy Skipper

2003, Sandy OR

A leading decathlete and javelin, Tommy Skipper concentrated on pole vault this year with great results. He was over 17 feet five times and was ahead of the pack by his head and broad shoulders. He didn't get the high school record he wanted, but he has another year for that.
