Kenneth Ferguson was the star of a well travelled Mumford Detroit MI team, posting hurdle and relay victories in Blacksburg VA, Lexington KY, the New York Armory, Landover MD, and Raleigh NC. Then the tall warrior stepped up to the junior ranks (under 20) for his crowning achievement as a high school runner: a new US record of 49.38 in the 400 meter hurdles at the World Junior Championships in Jamaica.
