Said Rogers Coach Carlton Efurd."What a great surprise! I was hoping to finish in the top 3 today. I thought if we ran well we would have a chance to win.
The last time we won was in 1999. This meet gets bigger every year. We ran
about as good as we could as a team."

"This course was the toughest meet I've run." said Rogers Co-Captain Eric Molina:
"It was also the biggest win for us this year as a team and a good experience
going into the Houston meet (Nike South Invite next Saturday) because of the
competition and it was hot."

Course Description - This “Oldest Consecutive Cross Country race in the United States” is held on the Oklahoma State University cross country course. Last year’s edition drew over 5,600 individuals on over 500 teams on the junior high, high school and college level with a total of 15,000 in attendance, according to meet director Stillwater HS Coach Dan Zeroski. The 5000 meter course begins with a 300 meter uphill and includes six other hills. The 3200m course also starts off with the 300m hill. Both courses are nearly all grass and are 15 feet wide the entire way to accommodate the large fields.
