The stars will truly come out when the stadium lights come on Saturday night, with California elites taking on US elites.
Arcadia traditionally showcases many of the finest athletes from across the nation competing against the best of California at Arcadia High School, located approximately 17 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles. The meet is in three parts, with the Friday night relays and Saturday's Open Division preceding the elite Saturday night Invitational Division -- "when the lights go on, the stars come out."
The Arcadia Invitational enjoys a very rich history, with 22 national records achieved at the event. In addition, the meet has served as a forum for many of the world’s future stars, with a stunning 101 U.S. Olympians competing in the meet during their high school years.
The Arcadia Invitational in a nonprofit endeavor annually sponsored by Arcadia High School, with any proceeds going to the Arcadia High School track and field team and its athletic department.
