Bianca Knight 11.38 and Cordera Jenkins 13.35 bring first gold medals to US - Ebony Collins wins silver in 100m and wins 400H heat - Michael Morrison 7th in octathlon.

  • G-100 final - Ridgeland MS soph Bianca Knight 11.38 -0.1 wins first gold medal for USA, with Ebony Collins CA 11.44 second in a photo finish over Calvert Schillonie JAM 11.44.
  • B-100 final - Devin Mays CA 10.74 is 8th as Great Britain goes 1-2 with Aikines-Aryeetay Harry 10.35 and Nelson Alex 10.36
  • B-110H final - Dickenson TX jr Cordera Jenkins wins gold (right, photo byJoy Kamani) with a time of 13.35 +1.1, with Brathwaite Ryan BAR 13.44 second and Frankis Gianni GBR 13.48 third.
  • B-400 semi - Zach Chandy CA 47.40 and . Bryshon Nellum CA 47.69 advance to finals. Fastest of round is Al-Nour Adam Mohammed SUD 46.84.
  • G-400 semi - Brandi Cross TX 53.43 wins one semi, but El Jack Nawal SUD 51.83 is faster in the other heat.
  • G-400H heats - Ebony Collins CA, already in the finals in the 100m later today, wins her heat in 59.82. Fastest of round are three girls in another heat - Bolden Lauren AUS 58.19, Velasco Yisel Regia CUB 59.48 and Lambarki Hayat MAR 59.75.
  • B-Hammer - Walter Henning NY 224-11 qualifies for the finals.
  • G-DT final - Kamorean Hayes NC 162-10 finishes third.
  • B-LJ heats - David Klech CA 23-2 -0.4 advances to finals as Tim Grier GA. 22-1.5 misses. Best qualifier is Noffke Chris AUS 25-4.
  • B-HJ heats - Phil Feinberg AZ 6-6.75 fails to advance to finals.
  • B-Octathlon - Michael Morrison VA started the day in 16th place, but moved up to 7th at the end with 5836. In today's events, Morrison ran 14.44 +0.1 110H, high jumped 6-2.25, threw the javelin 172-1 and ran the 1000m in 3:00.56.
