Alexandria Anderson IL 22.96 200m in 2nd is fastest HS time of year.
Brittany Jones FL 52.80 400m, Mark Matusak CA 3:55.28 1500m, Justin Oliver GA 47.10 400m, and Sarah Bowman VA 4:32.71 1500m advance to Sunday finals.

  • W 5000 - Nicole Blood NY 16:30.90 won, leading three more high school runners across the line -- Whitney Anderson CO 16:33.32, Jocelyn Gardner TX 16:45.51, and Tori Tyler CA 16:50.05.
  • M 5000 - West Covina CA jr Diego Mercado 14:25.89 was third behind Paul Hefferon of Kansas 14:15.18 and Daniel Nunn of Georgetown 14:17.67.
  • W 200 - Alexandria Anderson IL 22.96 +0.6 posts fastest HS time of the season finishing second behind Cleo Tyson of Tennessee 22.93, who completed a sprint double. Two more high school runners were next after Anderson -- Francena McCorory VA 23.22 and Brittany Jones FL 23.28. Bianca Knight MS 23.65 was seventh.
  • M 200 - J-Mee Samuels NC 21.00 +1.8 is third behind collegians Tremaine Smith of Houston 20.86 and Otis McDaniel of TCU 20.96. Justin Oliver GA 21.44 was eighth.
  • M 800 - St. Augustine LA soph Karjuan Williams 1:50.88 wins, with NON champ Rob Novak NJ third in 1:51.22.
  • W 800 - Rogers Spokane WA sr Becca Noble 2:03.73 wins in fastest HS time of the season. Sarah Bowman VA 2:07.88 is fourth, followed by two more high school runners - Devon Williams MD 2:08.58 and Maggie Infeld OH 2:08.99.
  • W 400H final - West Catholic Philadelphia PA sr Nicole Leach 57.25 and Winslow NJ jr Krystal Cantey 57.66 ran another scorcher, this time reversing their order of finish at last week's Nike Outdoor Natioanls. They were far ahead of Mackenzie Hill of UCLA, who was third at 1;00.32.
  • M 400H final - Nike Outdoor Nationals champ Greg Offerman 51.33 is second to Auburn's Reuben McCoy 50.69, with Washington prep Jake Hanson third in 52.08. Other preps: Eric Alejandro FL 52.12 fourth and Brent Larue NC 52.57 fifth.
  • M 400 pre - Justin Oliver GA 47.10 is second fastest qualifier behind unattached Lionel Larry 46.71. Other preps advancing to the finals - Nate Anderson OR 47.15 and Jacob Scheuerman CO 47.64.
  • M 1500 pre - Mark Matusak CA, 2-mile champion last week at Nike Outdoor Nationals, won his heat in 3:55.28, a bit faster than U. Oregon freshman Galen Rupp 3:56.89 in the other heat. Isaac Stoutenbaugh OR was the only other prep to qualify for the finals.
  • W 400 pre - Florida sophomore sensation Brittany Jones 52.80 is nipping at the heels of U. South Carolina's Natasha Hastings 52.76 as fastest this round. Other HS qualifiers for the finals - Brandi Cross TX 54.08 and Krista Simkins PA 54.97.
  • W 1500 pre - With the 800m final coming up later, Sarah Bowman VA 4:32.71 is the fastest qualifier, with two more preps second and third fastest - Alison Smith MD 4:34.10 and Erin Bedell TX 4:33.16.
  • M 200 pre - J-Mee Samuels NC 21.10 -0.1 is fastest qualifier, Stanford's Wopamo Osaisai, who was second to Samuels in the 100 with the same time, second fastest at 21.21 -0.6. Justin Oliver GA 21.47 -0.6 also made the finals.
  • W 200 pre - Alexandria Anderson IL smokes to 23.01 -0.8 heat win, fastest prep time of the year and fastest of qualifiers for the final later today. Next is Florida soph sensation Brittany Jones 23.30 -0.6, followed by 100m champion Cleo Tyson of Tennessee 23.43 +0.5. Other preps advancing to finals: Francena McCorory VA 23.62 -1.6, Bianca Knight MS 23.74 -1.6, and Khrystal Carter CA 23.96 -0.8.
  • W PV - Four preps trail winner Rachel Graff of Rice 12-8.75. Annie Bertleson ID and Brysun Stately CA each clear 12-4.75.
  • W HJ - Montbello Denver CO sr Chelsea Taylor 5-10 wins.
  • M LJ - Bellevue East NE sr Robert Rands 24-7 +0.0 wins. Dennis Boone VA 23-9 is fourth, George Fields SC 23-5.25 seventh, and Jordan Powell AZ 23-2.75 ninth.
  • W SP - HS national leader Stephanie Horton OR 50-6.25 is third behind Sarah Stevens of Arizona State 55-5.5 and Melissa Faubus of California-Berkely 50-6.75. Other preps: Ashley Muffet OH 48-7.5 fourth, Michaela Wallerstedt NE 47-3.75 sixth.
  • M JT - HS national leader Matt Maloney RI 205-0 is sixth as Corey White of the Redlands wins with a throw of 221-4.

  • M 1500 pre - Loyola Los Angeles CA sr Mark Matusak, winner of the NON 2-mile, is in heat 1 and former HS superstar Galen Rupp, now a freshman at U. of Oregon, is in heat 2. Other preps: Jared Bell CA and Harry Miller OR.
  • W 400 pre and semi - Soph Brittany Jones FL, who joined the high school elite by winning the NON 400m in 52.44 US#1, tests herself against older runners. Other preps: Bianca Knight MS, Brandi Cross TX, Jessica Jones MI, Nicole Stone CA, Krista Simkins PA, and Myra Hasson CA. Former A.P. Randolph NY star Natasha Hastings, now at South Carolina, has the fastest seed time of 51.87.
  • M 400 pre and semi - Redan GA sr Justin Oliver, Nike Indoor and Outdoor champ and a Texas A&M recruit, heads a big high school delegation. Other preps: Jacob Scheuerman CO, Elijah Wells CA, D'Andre Hall CA, Nate Anderson OR, and Bryant McCombs NJ.
  • M 400H final - Charles City IA sr Greg Offerman is second fastest qualifier at 52.09 (Reuben McCoy, Auburn 51.46) and hopes to repeat his NON win last week. Other preps in final: Taveris Washington GA, Jake Hanson WA, Brent Larue NC, and Eric Alejandro FL.
  • W 400H final - NON 1-2 finishers in a rematch: Winslow NJ jr Krystal Cantey and West Catholic Philadelphia PA sr Nicole Leach. Cantey upset Penn Relays champ Leach at NON last week, but Leach was fastest in the prelim here in 58.13. Other preps in final: Jasmine Dacus GA, Danielle Gilchrist OK, and Lizzie Harris FL.
  • W 800 final - Fauquier VA sr Sarah Bowman, headed for Tennessee next year, has been the US#1 prep for 2 years. Heidi Magill of Brigham Young was slightly faster in the prelims, 2:07.27 to 2:07.73. Other preps in final: Devon Williams MD, Maggie Infeld OH, and Becca Noble WA.
  • M 800 final - Nike Outdoor champ Rob Novak NJ and Nike Indoor champ Karjuan Williams LA have a shot.
  • W 5000 - Nicole Blood NY and Cassie Hintz ME head the high school entries. Other preps: Jocelyn Gardner TX , Tori Tyler CA, and Whitney Anderson CO.
  • M 5000 - Half the field are high school runners: Isaac Stoutenburgh OR, Daniel and Diego Mercado CA, Tim McLeod AZ, Justin Harbor FL, Jake Schmitt CA, and Dan Geib NV
