NTN Southeast Rankings - Pre-Season
The NTN regional rankings are the basis of the NTN team selection process. The top two teams in each region at the end of the season will be invited to compete in the Nike Team Nationals in Portland Dec. 4. The third and fourth place teams in each region are considered for the four national at-large selections.

| Florida powers Jesuit and Winter Park have deep teams back led by individual state
champions (Andy Biladeau and Coleman Hoover, respectively) and are the class of the
region. Last-minute rumors have Jesuit possibly losing a key runner, with Winter Park
a very strong unit through four scoring positions. Hoover has a great lead quartet as
well, with Collins Hill also flaunting nice depth. |
Holy Trinity returns the entire varsity from its state championship team, and Pope John Paul showcasing two national-class stars and superb depth. Wright also returns
its full roster and is bolstered from a highly successful track campaign. Scottsboro
and St. Paul's appear poised and well-equipped to battle for bragging rights in
Alabama. |

NTN will select two teams from each region, plus four at large teams to compete in the cross country team championships. The Harrier magazine has published regional rankings for years for the four Foot Locker regions. We reviewed data for 2003 and selected the top 10 teams in each of the eight new NTN regions.
