Bay Shore NY girls 11:42.49 (4th best all time in the US)
Bay Shore's young team got a personal best, improving on their 11:43.51 indoors (2nd to Mountain View UT's US record 11:35.43 at NSIC in March) and 11:45.61 outdoors (2nd to Red Bank NJ's US record 11:37.86 at AOC Raleigh last June). Bay Shore passed Saratoga's winning Penn Relays time (11:45.62) for US#1 this season. Bay Shore splits: jr Mary Liz McCurdy 3:30.5, sr Precious Moore 63.6, 8th grader Sarah McCurdy 2:14.5, and jr Laura Cummings 4:54.5.

Westfield VA boys 10:14.52
Westfield never trailed after senior David Groff opened in 3:02 for 1200 meters and Chris Black, Chris Courson and James Scheiner cruised on the lead. Then they got back in their cars and drove home to Virginia. Groff said they are shooting for 10:10 or better this season.
