the Meet Scene

The GSW is a post-season invitational for the states of Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah that has grown to be a major postseason event in high school track and field. This year, to step up the competition, some all star teams and individuals were invited tocompete.

The GSW is held on the grounds of the University of New Mexico. The home of the "Lobos." (A lobo is a New Mexican gray wolf--El Lobo.) The stadium is a 6,000-seat facility with an all-weather Versaturf surface for track and a natural grass surface for soccer.

Lunch Before the Meet

Located in a former car dealership and gas station, Kelly's is today a place for food, drinks and celebrations. It's a beer and hamburger kind of place where you can unwind from a hard day's work or a good track meet.
