Since 1984, the NSIC has grown dramatically from 500 participants to more than 3,000 in last year’s competition. T his prestigious event has generated approximately $45 million in college scholarship funds for student athletes representing all 50 states, Canada, England, Puerto Rico, Ireland and many of the Caribbean nations .

The Metropolitan Athletics Congress, Inc., a 501c-3 not-for-profit organization with more than 80 participating member clubs was founded in 1980, and presently serves as the governing body for all running, walking and field-related sports in the New York tri-state region. Since its inception, MAC has supported thousands of athletes through the development of community enrichment programs, marrying academics and athletics to attack today’s rising rates of school dropouts, substance abuse, violence and crime.
