was third. Jorge Torres 13:43.37 is 15th.
- W 4x400 - USA wins in 3:22.63, world leading time this
year (Me'Lisa Barber, Demetria Washington, Jearl Miles Clark, and Sanya
Richards). Russia 3:22.91 nips Jamaica 3:22.92 for second. Russia led
until a poor anchor exchange, when Richards shot to the lead on the
first turn and held off both Russia and fast closing Jamaica in the
stretch.
