Laporte TX senior Kerron Clement swept the hurdle races in very fast times to earn the Most Outstanding boy trophy.

110H - It was too close to call 2 weeks ago when Jason Richardson and Kerron Clement came to the end of the Texas 5A state meet 110m hurdles, and Richardson got the nod from the electronic timers, 13.51 to 13.52, the two fastest times in the US this season. It was the same way here as they came to the last hurdle, but Richardson crashed the hurdle and lost just enough time for Clement to win, 13.61 to 13.66.

300H - It was no contest here as Clement, in lane 4, made up the stagger on Richardson (lane 5) roaring around the turn and was unchallenged in the home stretch.
