Allyson Felix

Los Angeles Baptist sr Allyson Felix won the 100 and 200 for the third straight year. Only Marion Jones ever did that before. And Felix served notice she is on course to break at least some of Jones' records in her senior year before heading off to college at Southern California.

Ricky Quintana's Quotes

Allyson Felix: Everything went well. I got a good warm-up. My stride felt decent and I felt comfortable throughout the race. It went well.
RQ: How does the 11.29 rate with you?
Felix: That’s good. I’m pleased with that. I can tell I’m right where I want to be in my workouts. I’m on schedule.
RQ: You looked very relaxed. Was there anything out of the ordinary in this performance?
Felix: It feels like all my races. I can see my training paying off. It’s good.
Other reporter: Is that a good a start as you’ve ever had?
Felix: Yes, it’s one of my better ones.
Other reporter: After that, what were you thinking or were you just reacting?
Felix: We’ll see. I’m going to go back and collect my thoughts and see where I’m going after this and just collect myself and see where I’m going after that.
RQ: Why didn’t you run the 4x100?
Felix: Our team was entered, but we got to the start late and they wouldn’t let us run. We were standing right over there [ pointing to the entrance] during the race. We watched it. It was pretty disappointing for me and especially my teammates.

Ricky Quintana's Quotes

Allyson Felix
RQ: How was that race?
Felix: Do you know my time?
RQ: I don’t know.
Felix: The race felt good. The conditions aren’t that good. It felt good all the way through. I just felt, I don’t know my time. Not knowing my time, the way the race went, it felt good.
RQ: Did you expect to win by such a large margin?
Felix: Well, you never know what’s going to happen going into a race. So I just try to go in with the same plan each time.
