Reggie Witherspoon started his anchor leg in third place, moved up to second after one lap and then blasted into the lead on the backstretch to win with a 47.2 split, beating Archbishop Carroll DC 3:19.89. Carroll's freshman Randy Lee opened with a remarkable 47.4 split to put them in the lead, but Motor City MI (Mumford) took over in the middle legs before Witherspoon's anchor.
