Toughest Courses

Holmdel Park - NJ

I believe Holmdel Park in Holmdel New Jersey is one of the toughest cross
country courses in the U.S. Thankfully the course in not a course made
strictly of loops, it has one the toughest hills imaginable at about 1-1/2
miles. Not to mention the 400meter climb from the start into a roller coaster
of more hills.

After finishing this beginning part you hit that
rolling "bowl" area into that steep hill at 1-1/2 miles.

Last but not least, the time run there. You look at times from other parts of the country on
other courses....no one has ever broken 15 minutes at Holmdel. The course
record is 15:16. Not to say New Jersey doesn't have great runners because
they do, you're good if you break 17 minutes, but you're amazing if you break
16.

Supporting the motion

If you are talking about tough courses, you have to consider Holmdel Park in
Central New Jersey. That course is ridiculous.
