Start of Div 3-4-5 Girls Team
Sweepstakes Friday evening
Another chapter in the rivalry between San Lorenzo Valley and Campolindo
went to the girls with the red "SLV" on their singlets over
the girls with the blazing red uniform with a big "C". Campolindo
won the state Division 3 championship by 1 point over SLV last year, and
it looks like this year could be just as close.

Campolindo

Raquel enjoyed
her biggest victory since being part of San Lorenzo Valley's US
record distance medley relay at the Penn Relays in her freshman
year. Plagued by injuries since then, she seems primed for a good
senior year. "I'm kind of in awe," Barrientos said.
"I was so surprised to be up front, but I felt so good I
just kept going." She said she would now be more aggressive
in the state meet and Foot Locker regional. Raquel has already
decided to join sister Alejandra Barrientos next year at UCLA
