One who did not finish was home schooled San Francisco sr Teresa McWalters, one of the pre-race favorites. She was sick all week taking medication but started anyway in her only chance to run against top high school runners. After running in the top 10 at the crossover, Teresa ran out of energy after Poop Out Hill and dropped out of the race.
