The boys' individual winner was Jory Zunich from Williston. He was challanged by Dane Steward from Plains Montana but won easily at the end. His winning time of 15:09 is very good for this course, however the course record is 14:47 held by Kurt Michels of Flathead. The boys' team winner was North Central (top ranked 3A school in Washington) scoring 128 points ahead of NW#8 Lewis and Clark (146 Points). Montana's top team, Bozeman placed 3rd with 161 points.

Zoe Nelson took the lead early in the girls' race and was never pressed. She won by 75 seconds. Her time of 17:00.06 breaks her 2002 record of 17:01.75. Carly Brown of Flathead challenged Megan O'Reilly of Mt. Spokane ( Spokane) in the third mile for 2nd place but O'Reilly was strong at the finish winning by six seconds. O'Reilly is one of the top girls in the state of Washington. The Flathead girls won the team competition with a score of 62 points.
