Marie Lawrence, two-time runner-up in the Footlocker National Cross Country Championships, was in great form Saturday, winning the Elko Invitational and leading her team to a 21-88 win over Carson City. Lawrence won in 18:04, about 500 meters ahead of second place teammate Nicole Lajeunesse. Joe Parker led the Reno boys to victory. He crossed the line in the 3.0-mile race in 16:57, about 150 meters ahead of Kyle Alegria of the host school. Reno was a 23-72 winner over Galena.
