Girls

#1 Los Alamos NM

Won their home Invitational without the help of #2 Marisa Sandovol,
who sat out due to a lingering cough. Also, Coaches Hipwood report,
" #5/6 Analisa Sandoval also didn't run, resting from a stress fracture
discovered last Monday in her foot. Analisa felt some pain in
her foot during the final 200 meters at the Nike/Jim Danner meet. She
may be cleared to resume running a week fromthis coming Monday."
Much of the Los Alamos girls started back a few places from where they
finished and moved up in the middle of the race. In the end it looked
as if the Hilltopper girls measured their competition prior to the race
and ran with just enough effort to win decisively. Kristen Hemphill
shot to the front early and was never challenged as she went on the win by :25 seconds.
