4 of the 5 Minnesota State teams that either are or have been HL ranked this season went head-to-head at the Victoria Lions Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. Jr-T.C. Lumbar wins yet again this season; also leading his Edina team to the title. His time of 15:26 for the 5000m course, was just ahead of Burnsville's so-Rob Finnerty (15:39). HL#10 Stillwater, led by the 7th place finish of jr-Ben Blankenship, was just 3 points behind Edina. However Stillwater had a very impressive spread of only 45 seconds from runners 1 to 5. Edin Prarie was 3rd, while HL#4 Lakeville North boys take a hard hit; finishing only 4th overall. HL#2 Lakeville North girls, led by sr-Elizabeth Yetzer's individual victory (13:39) over the 4000m course, wins over Prior Lake. Yetzer was over 40 seconds ahead of 2nd place finisher, so-Danielle Berndt of Bloomington Kennedy (14:20). Bria Wetsch of Holy Family, who has been a strong competitor of Yetzer this season so far, did not compete.
