2005 Nebraska Class A Team
Cross Country Rankings
Based on the 2004 State Meet results and do not take into account transfers, moves and incoming freshmen

HL#7 Fremont is a clear no. 1 among boys with four runners among the top 20 returners. North Star and Kearney can match their 1-2 punch but it remains to be seen what they have at 3-4-5. Millard North and Papio South both return a solid five runners from their 2004 state teams. Papillion Lavista and Bryan also return five guys.

The HL#10 Marian girls return four of the top 14 runners from the State Meet. Millard West and Columbus also return 5 solid runners. Westside, Millard North and Lincoln East return most of their nucleus also and should be tough. With the girls, the freshman class seems to make a big impact so we'll have to wait to see how things shake out.

Districts have been posted and the A-2 boys race at Fremont contains 4 top 10 teams. The A-3 girls at Walnut Creek should be equally tough.
