#9 St. Joseph Central MO
Compteted in their district meet Saturday at Stockton Park. Liberty
won with 30 points, St. Joseph Central second with 45, third went to
Oak Park-Kansas City with 75. Oak Park's Michael Pierce won with
a 17;06, followed by Brett Musse (17;12) and Chris Pullen (17;16) of
SJC. Brett Agee (17;17), Chavis Clawson (17:24), Kip Hill (17:16),
Shaun Hall (17:30) and Shawn Etazenhorser (17:31) then finished 4-8
for Liberty. St. Joe Central finished out with Bryce Johnson (10th
17:44), Jeff Beeson (14th 17:52) and Robert Riviera (16th 18:04).
The course has historically been slow and challenging. Both teams
will compete next week in the Kansas City Sectional.

#3.Shawnee Mission NW (KS)
Romped to victory at the Shawnee Mission Park Regional in Shawnee.
Rolled to 29 points, with Blue Valley North (#5 6A) second with 89
points. Tucker Weems won in 15:50 by over 30 seconds, with Bret
Imgrund second at 16;23, Jonathan Daniels 7th at 16:45 and Josh
Weems 8th at 16:48. Rich Stahl was 11th at 17:04, as Northwest
rested #2 Matt Morton for state. Shawnee Mission Park is considered
challenging with hills. Some wind but sunny skies.

District meet on Saturday 10/23/04. No results received yet.
#5.Emporia (KS)
Scored a 37-47 win over #3 6A Free State-Lawrence in the Emporia Regional.
Nick Garcia ran 16:15 to win over Danny Schneider (Free State 16:19),
with Shea Camien third at 16;31, Skyler Delmont fifth at 17:00, Maurico
Morales 7th at 17:10. Course is usually fast, but mud hampered
times this year.

#7.Rapid City Stevens (SD)
Won their tenth straight Class AA State Championship. Marshall
Kambestad won in sloppy conditions in 16:26, followed by Alex Holmgren
(5th 17;04), Alex Whitesell (17;10 7th), Matt McKie (11th 17:14), and
Darren Messenger (20th 17:31) in the medalists.
#8.Fremont (NE)
Won the Nebraska Class A meet 56 to 72 over Kearney. Led by the
1-2 finish of Brian Parr (16:03) and Jeff Grassmeyer (16:14).
Bryce Christensen (17;10 13th), Zachary Baedke (14th, 17:12 )
and Nicholas Leland (17:47 33rd) completed the top five.

#8 Roosevelt-Sioux Falls (SD)
Yankton won a narrow 56-60 victory over Roosevelt in the South Dakota
Class A state meet. Ramsey Kavan ran 15:00 for 4k to win for Yankton
with Krista (15:31) and Allison Eckert (15;34) running 2-3, respectivley
for Roosvelt. Betsy Bies was fourth for Yankton (15:44), with
Amanda Kuchta 11th (16;17) and Krista Sternhagen (16:26 15th) also medaling
for Yankton. Allsion Duba (13th 16:25) and Brittany Thune (14th
16:26) were also medalists for Roosevelt.
#3.Iowa City West (IA)
Easily won their district meet Thursday, with 23 points, with state-ranked
Ames (69) and Marshalltown (83) second and third. Sarah Wickman (14:45
4k), Julia Frudden (14:48) and Janet Dobyns (14;55) ran to a clear 1-2-3
finish, with Claire Hall (7th 15:26) and Elise Walz (10th 15;59) completing
the top five.

#9 Blue Springs (MO)
Lee's Summit North edged Blue Springs 42 to 48 to win their district
title Saturday at Lake Jacomo in Blue Springs. St. Teresa's-Kansas
City was third with 62. Lindsay Pierson led Lee's Summit North,
running 19:49 to place second behind winner Elizabeth Keavney of St.
Teresa's (19:35). Lauren Renfro was third for Blue Springs (19:52),
followed by team mate Andrea Owensby (20:12) in 5th. Kari Fritchie
(LSN) was sixth in 20:15 with team mate Kristin Colon (LSN) seventh
at 20:22. and Baylee Sweetan (LSN) eighth in 20;26. Danielle
Rogers completed LSN top five in 12th (20:51). Blue Springs top
five was completed by Shayna McClintock (11th 20:45), Alex Harkins (17th
21:14) and Kalley Jones (18th 21:17). The district is considered
one of the toughest in Missouri. Both teams run next Saturday
at the Kansas City Sectional.
#10.Eureka (MO)
Bethany Snow won her district meet by over a minute in 19:14 at Jefferson
Barraks Park in St. Louis, but Marquette put five runners into the top
17, led by runner-up Laura Gosen (20:17) and Angela Conlon (seventh,
no time reported) to win the team title with 56 points. Lafayette
HS from Baldwin MO was second with 60 and Eureka third with (64).
All will run in one of the St. Louis Sectionals Saturday.
