A strong heat wave swept through the Midwest, seemingly affecting some high school stars, while other shined and produced some outstanding times. In Illinois, the boys state track meet concluded one of the better state meets in the past few years, while across the other four states in the Midwest state series meets qualified athletes for their state meets.
