Led by Christy Titus's 4th-place finish and three in the top ten, formerly MW-ranked Bowling Green topped MW#9 Loveland, 70-82, for the Gold race title. In terms of Ohio rankings, it wasn't considered an upset with Bowling Green ranked 2nd and Loveland 4th. Beavercreek (Ohio#6) and Centerville (#10 Ohio) followed with 94 and 119. Alexandra Banfich came over from Culver Academy IN to take the individual crown in 18:10, followed by freshman Brooklyne Ridder, Oak Hills, 18:18; Christaina Schneider, McAuley, 18:22 (first-year runner and junior who dropped soccer for XC); Titus (state runner-up in 2004), 18:43; and Sarah Leeper (state champ in 2003), Loveland, 18:45. For the boys, it was Ohio#3 St. Ignatius over Loveland, 94-103, with Centerville 3rd at 111. Scott Meyers of Beavercreek outran Ken Sullivan of St. Ignatius, 15:49-15:51, to take first individually.
