A heat wave fell over the Midwest on Friday and Saturday, as many of the top teams in the region competed in their first or second meets of the season.

Boys

1. York, IL – They did not compete this week.

2. Northridge, IN – They did not compete in a weekend invitational.

3. Columbus North, IN – They won the Carmel Cross Country Classic (5k), beating last year top ten Carmel, IN. This meet is based off of time, in which Columbus North ran a total time of 1:25:25, beating Carmel by only a few seconds, as Carmel ran 1:25:32 for second. Both teams beat MW #8 La Salle, OH, as La Salle finished third in a time of 1:26:24. If you break this down by team scoring, Columbus North scored 37 points to Carmel’s 40, while La Salle scored 52. These three teams dominated the field; all putting their top five runners ahead of any other teams number two runner and took sixteen of the top seventeen spots. This was a great match-up for all three times…a great early season test.
