All the top teams in the Midwest are basically traveling to their conference meets, their league meets or their sectional races.  Indiana has already started their state series, as they host sectionals this weekend after having regionals earlier in the week.  Illinois has their conference weekend, as do Ohio and Wisconsin.  Michigan is the only state not to have any conference, district or sectional action as most of their top teams are either taking the weekend off to rest or are heading to the last invitationals of the season.

Boys

1. York ILYork heads to Lyons Township High School to compete in the West Suburban Conference Meet.  After a week off, York should be rested and ready to do some damage at their conference meet.

2. Milford MI They will be traveling to the Gabriel Richard Invitational.  They will face off against MW #7 Novi, who will only be brining their B team, so they will not get a true test until next week when they go head to head with Novi in a dual meet.  Milford will also face MW #8 Dexter at the invitational as well according to all the teams schedules.

3. Palatine IL They will be competing at the Mid-Suburban League Conference Meet, where they will go head to head with four other Illinois ranked teams.

4. Hamilton Southeastern IN They narrowly won their sectional 31-33 over Pendleton Heights.  They will have to run better at regionals if they hope to maintain their top four ranking in the Midwest.

5. Madison West WI They will be competing in their conference meet, where they should win big just like they did last weekend.

6. Lawrence North IN They easily won their state sectional meet and now move on to the next round in Indiana as they head to regionals.

7. Novi MI After moving up a few spots on the Midwest rankings, Novi takes to the road and heads to the AA G. Richard Invitational.  They will be resting their top seven however in order to prepare for the big weeks ahead.  Their biggest test however will come early next week as they face MW #2 Milford head to head in a dual meet which should provide plenty of excitement.

8. Dexter MI They take to the road where they will compete at the Gabriel Richard Invitational.

9. La Salle OH They will be taking their squad to the GCL Cross Country Championships.  This is their league meet, so they should be primed to run fast here.

10. St. Ignatius OH They will be competing at the Lake Bird Invitational at LCCC.  This is St. Ignatius' first week in the top ten so it will be interesting to see how they react.

Girls

1. Clarkston MI -

2. Bowling Green OH They will be competing at the Northern Lakes League meet.  Bowling Green has proven that they are one of the top teams around the nation lately with their great pack up front and their depth.  They should coast into the state finals.

3. Naperville North IL They will be competing at the DuPage Valley Conference Meet, where they will get a chance to go head to head with some of the top teams in the state.

4. Waukesha West WI They will be competing at the Classic 8 Conference Meet.  Last weekend they showed their strength very well between all their different grades, so this week should be even more exciting as they get to put all their pieces together again.

5. Cathedral Indianapolis IN They easily won their state sectional race, and now move onto their state regional race.

6. Rockford MI They will be competing at the Calvin Christian Invitational.

7. Goodrich MI They do not compete this weekend.

8. St. Ursula Academy OH They will be participating in the GGCL Invitational.  St. Ursula will look to rebound from their loss last weekend at Portage with a great team victory this weekend.

9. Northridge IN They will be competing in their state regional meet.  After placing their top seven in the top ten at their sectional race earlier in the week, Northridge should be hoping to continue such dominance straight through this weekend.

10. Mason OH Their first week on the charts is exciting for this talented team.  Mason heads to the FAVC Meet to square off against some of their conference foes.
