, SO#3 The Woodlands TX, SO#5 Corpus Christi King TX, SO#6 Southlake Carroll TX, SO#7 Humble TX, SO#8 Kingwood TX and SO#9 Cinco Ranch TX met at the Texas A&M Invite. In the last couple of weeks King had easily won two meets, Kingwood had won its own invite over A&M, and Cinco Ranch had won the Woodlands Invite over the host team so they appeared to be the top squads. That was the case as Corpus Christi King prevailed in a close battle 90-95 over Cinco Ranch. It was tight through the first 4 for these two teams, but King's 5th man in 35th ahead of Cinco Ranch's in 43rd sealed the victory. Kingwood placed 3rd with 121, A&M 4th with 134 and The Woodlands 5th with 161.

Tupelo MS was 3rd at the Twilight Cross Country Classic in Memphis, TN with 113 points behind Hoover AL with 57 and Memphis University School with 92. Pearl MS was 8th with 274.

SO#1/US#6 Southlake Carroll TX, SO#2/US#9 Kingwood TX, SO#5 Cedar Park TX and SO#8 Cinco Ranch TX all raced at Texas A&M making this a top early season meet. Individually in the top 6 you had 2 Foot Locker finalists, the state 3A champ making the move up to 5A and the freshman sister of a Foot Locker finalist. And that was just Southlake Carroll's team! Southlake Carroll's super 4 led them to the team title with 30 points. Kingwood with 4 in the top 13 was a clear 2nd with 55. Cedar Park edged Cinco Ranch 80-82 for 3rd.
