After a one week delay due to Hurricane Katrina the Louisiana season
finally opens with the traditional Bayou Boogie hosted by St Michael
High School. The Episcopal Lady Knights take the victory, led by the
2nd place finish of Mary Evelyn White (19:55). Whitney
Curry of St. Thomas
Aquinas won the event in a time of 18:29. In the boys race, Catholic-Baton
Rouge barely holds off Episcopal with a score of 31 to 34. However the
Knights get an individual victory from Sean Swanner (15:57). Second and
third place went to Richard Sanders (Redemptorist) at 16:23, and Andy
Florek (Brother Martin) at 16:35.
