Mustang OK - won 5A state gold with 83 points and a 17:07 average for 5000m.  Mustang jr Kevin Schwab easily defended his 2004 title in 15:45 to remain unbeaten with a 39 second margin over Yukon jr Mitch Ownby in 16:24.  Jenks scored 95 for silver, Tulsa Union was a close 3rd with 99 led by sr Alex Rowin in 3rd in 16:34 and Edmond Memorial finished 4th with 126.  This marks only the 2nd time since 1978 that Jenks or Edmond Memorial did not win (latest was Moore in 1997). Bishop Kelley OK took the 4A state crown with 56 points led by individual runner-up Thomas Pynn in 17:23.  Deer Creek was 2nd with 72 points while Altus was 3rd with 80 points led by individual champ jr Rolando Vasquez in 16:51.Kingwood TX won District 22-5A with 27 points followed by Humble TX with 32.

Jesuit LA - captured the twice-postponed due to hurricanes Episcopal Round Table Run 54-64 over Brother Martin LA.  Jesuit sr Brett Guidry took the individual title in 15:03 for 3 miles over Pineville’s Alan Sticker in 15:20 and Br. Martin sr Andy Florek in 15:29.

Fayetteville AR - struck gold at the Mountie Classic Invite 36-54 over host Rogers AR. Rogers soph Aaron Hamilton was the individual champ in 16:23.

Lockhart TX - won District 26-4A over Elgin 39-45.


Girls

SO#1/US#9 Southlake Carroll TX - beat #5 Keller TX 20-45 at the District 5-5A meet.  Southlake Carroll was again led by the super Foot Locker finalist 1-2 punch of sr Brooke Upshaw in 11:10 and sr Miranda Walker in 11:28.  Keller sr Carlene Mayfield, also a Foot Locker finalist, was 3rd in 11:34.

Tulsa Union OK - won the state 5A crown with 74 points.  Tulsa Union sr Ina Ables won her 2nd consecutive title in 11:51 for 2 miles followed by teammate Andrea Alonso in 12:00 for silver as the team averaged 12:34.  Jenks OK grabbed the silver with 84, Westmoore OK took the bronze with 97 and defending state champ Mustang OK was 4th with 143 points.

Bishop McGuiness OK - struck 4A state gold with 51 points and has won 13 of the last 14.  They placed 5 in the top 16 averaging 12:47 led by Molly Ferguson’s 12:17 for 2nd.  Guthrie OK took silver with 81 points, Harrah OK was 3rd with 102 points led by individual champ sr Lacey Akers who successfully defended in 12:01.

Barbe LA - won the Comeaux Invite with a perfect 15 points.  Barbe jr Lydia Woodward, the defending state champ, took the individual title in 18:18 for 3 miles.

St Joseph’s LA - edged Episcopal LA 41-43 at the Episcopal Round Table Run. St. Joseph's Allison Fontenot was the individual champ in 18:51 for 3 miles.

Bentonville AR - took top honors at the Mountie Classic Invite 27-47 over host Rogers AR.  Bentonville fr Katie Dalton was the individual champ in 19:14.
