Photos and Story by John Sullivan, South Region Editor Girls Recap w/ Photos - Boys Recap w/ Photos As usual this meet drew many of the best teams in Texas as it offers an opportunity to run at the state meet site. This deep field included 4 US and 12 South ranked teams. The 5000m course used for the boys & girls elite Gold Division races was in good condition and is the same course used for the Boys state meet. The Girls state meet course is only 3200m, but uses the same 1st mile and most the 3rd mile as this course. The weather was 77 degrees and cloudy. Top Teams: 1. 51 Kingwood SO#2/US#9 2. 67 The Woodlands SO#3/US#12 3. 102 Keller SO#4 4. 109 Marcus SO#5 5. 146 Clear Lake unranked 6. 169 Cedar Park SO#6 Top Individuals: 1. 18:03 Carlene Mayfield, Keller (Foot Locker finalist) 2. 18:12 Loren Hodges, Paradise 3. 18:21 Katie Weise, Cedar Park 4. 18:22 Cheryl Spring, The Woodlands 5. 18:24 Danielle Selner, Kingwood Keller sr Carlene Mayfield took the early
