Most of the attention will be on the boys and girls AA races. On the boys' side, NE#1/US#1 Fayetteville-Manlius will look to defend its title with a possible tough challenge from NE#4 Saratoga Springs and/or NE#5 Warwick Valley ... in the first race of the day at 8:45 a.m.!!! A great race looms individually, with Saratogans Steve Murdock and Greg Kelsey, Guilderland's Brian Rhodes-Devey, Liverpool's Ben White, Bethlehem's Matt Shaffer, and Shen's Dan McManamon. And with Tommy Gruenewald, Owen Kimple, John Heron and Andrew McCann all having starred individually for F-M, any of their runners could challenge.

Another fine individual battle will come in Class B, between Noel Bateman (Aquinas) and Dan Busby (New Paltz).

The girls AA race will be a terrific showdown between four of the top six teams in the NE: #1 Saratoga, #2 Hilton, #5 Suffern, and #6 Warwick. Lindsay Ferguson and Hannah Davidson lead Toga, while Amanda Griggs paces Hilton. Individually, defending Foot Locker champion Aislinn Ryan is, of course, the heavy favorite. Then Ferguson, Davidson, Griggs, and Shelby Greany of Suffern will fight for spots in the top five.

NE#3 Bronxville is a huge favorite in Class C.
