DVGTCA Meet #5 @ Lehigh 1/2

Seven schools posted sub-12:55's in the DMR, led by the 12:30.1 from Hatboro-Horsham. St.
Hubert's was within four seconds, with O'Hara just another ten seconds back. Hatboro's Caitlin Klaas went 2:17.8 to win the 800, pushed by Quakertown's Megan Hutchinson, 2nd in 2:19.5.
Krista Simkins helped her team's 4x200 to a 1:47.9. She also captured the 55 dash in 7.3 seconds. Sabrina Shaw, Simon Gratz, was 2nd in 7.4 seconds, but did take the 55 hurdles in 8.5. Kim Morris returned to form in the Triple Jump, winning with a leap of 36'04.5". She was also 2nd in the 55 hurdles in 8.8 seconds.
Nicole Leach took the 200 with a 25.7, .2 up on Angela Wells of Gratz. In the High Jump, Boyertown junior was over at 5-05, while Pennridge senior Denise Manero cleared 5-03. The Shot Put also boasted two elite performances, as Tayvon Gray of Coatesville won again, this time with a throw of 38-00.25, with Springfield Delco's Lauren Lucci 2nd at 37'08.5".

LaSalle unleashed a strong 8:07.8 4x800 to win comfortably. Tennent posted a 10:57 DMR, while Henderson's 4x200 showed nicely with a 1:34.2. More outstanding performances in the field, as Juan Cave. St. Joseph's Prep, cleared
6-06 to win the High Jump, and LaSalle's Kevin Moore won the Shot Put with his toss of 52-03.50. In the 60 Hurdles, Boyertown's Nate Tussey went 8.2 for the win. And the mile was especially close, as Jonathan Coopersmith, Pennridge, held off North Penn's Cody Edling and Central's Mike Syrnick by .2 and .3 respectively, winning in 4:33.2.

Ryan Fritz, Octorara, continued jumping well, clearing 6-06 to win the High Jump. Upper Merion's Steve Tyson won the Shot with his throw of 52-00. Fast 200's from Steve Slayton, Conwell-Egan, 23.1, and Kevin Baidoo, Harriton,just .3 back. Strath Haven posted an
8:31.1 4x800, while Downingntown East held off Upper Dublin in the 4x400 by .1, going 3:39.5.
