over West Allegheny senior Julie Snyder, but Synder's team took the
girls' team title by seven over General McLane. And for those who didn't
know that Jed Christiansen is not last runner in the family, younger
brother Jake, a 9th grader, finished 13th in the Varsity Seeded Race in
17:42. In two earlier races, 7th grade brother Job won the 2.0 Junior
High Race in just over 11:00; and little sister Jacy took all the 5th
and 6th grade boys in the combined 1.6 Mile Race in 9:55.

Hallinan, Cardinal O'Hara, ran the fastest 5k at Rose Tree Park in six
years, matching the 1996 15:32 by that year's AAA State Champ Ben
Showers from Henderson. With his one point, and two more top five
finishes by teammates, O'Hara scored 55 points to beat Upper Darby by
17, winning for the fourth year in a row, and 5th out of the past six.
Garnet Valley's Julie Karaszkiewicz went 19:07 to beat O'Hara's Katie
Kelly by 11 seconds. But Radnor, behind the 5th place 19:41 by Shannon
