Summary:
The first Robert J. Burdette Indoor Classic would have made Bob smile
(almost). Efficiently run, and high quality. Nicole Leach, West
Catholic, was alone for 400 meters in 57.61, while William Penn star
Juanita Broaddus doubled individually, getting the 200 in 25.32 and the
60 Dash in 7.87. Angela Wells, Simon Gratz, was 2nd in 7.90, and
Cheltenham's Karsheana Baxter was 3rd in 7.91.

Janine Ricci, Hatboro-Horsham, set a meet record in the 3000, winning in 10:32.80.
Blake Taylor, Methacton, took the High Jump (6-06) and was 2nd in the
Triple Jump (44-10.50) to Central's Marques Dexter (45-00.00) with
season bests. Galen Rivers was 3rd in the TJ, going 44-05.50. Easton's
Katie Hartman took the girls' HJ, clearing 5-04. The William Penn, Simon
Gratz, West Catholic 4x200 showdown was close for awhile, but Penn
pulled away to go 1:43.67, with West Catholic 2nd in 1:46.38.

But the North Penn guys took their 4x200 in 1:30.04. Upper Moreland's Kwesi Nurse won
the 60 Dash in 8:52, but the best time of the day came in the Semis from
Martin Luther King's Dion Lowry, who went 8:32. Pennsbury's Al Gregory
was consistently great, getting the Semis in 7.00, and the Finals in
6.98 in the 60 Dash. Penn's Christina Smith won the 60 Hurdles in 9.31.
