section, Harrier #13 Grant won with 85 points(1,2,7,37,38), followed by
Washington power Snohomish(104) and defending champ Sunset(155).
Individually, Grant went 1-2 with Joaquin Chapa sprinting away from teammate
Alec Wall to win 15:07 and 15:11. Both just missing Walls course record
of
15:06.
Girls
In the girls sweepstakes section, Arizona power Desert
Vista dominated scoring 50 points(1,3,5,11,30) to win by 50 points over
2-time
defending champ Snohomish(100) and #1 ranked Oregon team St. Mary's(148).
(note--St. Mary's ran without #1 and #4 runners). Individually Keara Sammons
of Desert Vista won in 18:09, followed by Megan Armstrong of Tualatin
in
18:24 and Katie Sammons(older sister) in 18:29.
