The Scene

Hilliard is a small but growing community just outside of Columbus, Ohio. It's history dates back to 1853 when it was founded by John Reed Hilliard. It's a suburban kind of atmosphere with all of the trappings including shopping malls and popular restaurants. The meet is held in a great area on the grounds of The Church at Mill Run. Coaches and volunteer parents are in charge, running an efficient well conducted meet. Along the way they have some fun.

We thank the meet directors, volunteer parents, church and school officials for inviting us.

Now on to the meet!

The Church at Mill Run

Opening Ceremonies

Master of Ceremonies,
Bill Righter.
Rev. Dave Mann, one of the pastors at the Church at Mill Run, provides opening remarks. Matt Kahn, provides the trumpet.

Matt Kahn, trumpets but doesn't run; Dave Mann got interested in running while he and his family lived in Cameroon, and Bill Righter, President of the Hilliard Davidson Cross Country Club, set the stage for this year's meet.
