The weather was beautiful, low 60's and sunny, making for a perfect day. The Meet doubled as a going
away party for longtime Sunken Meadow course manager and official, Bill Shelly, who is retiring.

    3 races of note:

Girls Class A: Major upset, maybe the biggest of the year nationally,
as local favorite Laura Cummings (Bayshore) 18:28 5k beats Nicole Blood. Blood
had a 15m lead going into the famous Cardiac hill, but wasn't seen
again, being a DNF. Unsubstantiated rumor has it that there was
"sabotage" with course barricades causing her to run off course at the
    top of the hill.

Boys Class B: Brian Dalpiaz blew away the field in 16:12..
No one was even close after 800m.

Boys Class A: 3 guys under 16:10 and about 25 under 17:00. Easily the
best race of the day. The finish chutes were really congested with the
top finishers and it was nice to see such quality instead of the typical
3 top people running away with it. Hakon Devries 16:03 wins, followed by Mark Alizzi 16:07 and Kevin Tschirhart 16:08.
