Oliver Ames senior Sara Powell cruised to a PR run over the Franklin Park

This was a significant drop for Powell who ran 18:26 over the same course at
the McIntyre Meet the first week in October. She won the 2001 D-II race in
18:40.5. Both of Powell’s races over the Franklin Park course were runaways.
The closest person/time this year was Ari Lambie, (Bromfield) in another
division in McIntyre meet when she finished one second faster than Powell,
18:25. (see Cent Mass D-II Girls)
Reference: Natasha Roetter (Lexington) (East Foot Locker Champs and top Natl.
placer) ran 17:27.2 over same Franklin Park course last year winning the
EMASS D-I race by 32 seconds. Powell and Lambie will not run head-to-head in
Mass., but will be in the same x-c race for the first time ever at Foot

placers.
The story of the day was Bromfield’s Ari Lambie won ran 16:00 over the 2.9
Gardner golf course. Her teammate Kristen Ricci was 2nd in 17:59. Lambie’s
time would have placed her 23rd in the Boys D-I race and 11th in the Boys

Jennings) who was dominant in the mid-70’s over the same course.
