Kentucky week 10/14
from Kentucky coaches (KTCCCA) web site

Previews

Somerset High School and Pulaski Southwestern are co-hosting its 6th
annual Southern Harrier Special in Somerset, Kentucky on 9/14/02 at GE
field off Ky Highway 27. This has become a popular meet for this part of
the state. With an average of 25-30 schools represented each year, it
promises quality competition. An added feature this year is a live radio
broadcast of the meet, including "position by position" called during the
races and athlete interviews following. Listen to Lake 102.3 FM, a Clear
Channel station, for this truly unique event, especially in cross
country.

The South Oldham Invitational features host South Oldham, St. Xavier,
Western Hills (#4 in AA) head the field. With Bobby Curtis not competing
because he is training for national meets (Great American and Foot Locker),
foreign exchange student Ondre Puskar and Kal Clark of South Oldham lead the
field along with Male Invitational winner Eric Hack of Male and Caleb Lafond
of Seneca. South Oldham could place five runners in the top ten or higher.
Julie Yonts of Ballard, #1 in AAA, heads the girls field along with
South Oldham's Holly Geers and Frankfort's Jackie Gordon & Leesa Unger.
South Oldham's girls are the favorite.
