Most of the Kansas meets Friday were rained, snowed or cold(ed) out.
Make-up meets were held Monday. Results are starting to come in.

Wichita Southeast Invitational Saturday 3/29/03
Lawrence Free State's boys traveled down the Kansas turnpike to
score a win in the Wichita Southeast Invitational, while the Maize girls
edged Free State for their team title.
Free State was led by Adrian Ludwig, who fought off cool weather
with a 1:57.97/ 4:34.99 distance double, winning both easily. Hiral
Bhakta also added to Free State's total with a 9:53.59 3200 win.
Wichita West's Odell Harris won the 100 in 10.90, and placed second in
the 200 to Wichita Kapaun's Nick Kruetzer (22.34 to 23.01).
Maize won the girs title 122-118 over Free State despite the
absence of defending 6A 1600 champ Liz Kramer (playing in an all-star
basketball game).
defending 6A javelin champ Ulrika Hinson led Maize with with a 39-4.75
shot win, and won the discus by over 30 feet with 124-0 toss in poor
conditions.
Wichita West's Melissa Ortiz (5A state cross country runner-up) scored
easy 5:47.51/ 12:24.74 distance wins, and team mate Chrisdell Harris won
the 100/ 200 in 11.95/ 26.26.
