Smoky Hill's Mighty Mites open with record runs

Junior Katelyn Kaltenbach, now the team leader with 4-year star Megan Kaltenbach graduated, led Smoky Hill girls to a 20-point score by winning in 18:22, breaking her sister's course record. The Buff girls ran 1,2,4,5,8 with a 70 second pack time for 2 thru 8.

Senior Ryan Deak, a Foot Locker finalist who moved from Florida during the summer, ran alone for the entire race, finishing in 15:48, also a course record.
