Smoky Hill sr Megan Kaltenbach won her fourth straight championship but for the third straight meet her little sister, sophomore Katelyn Kaltenbach, was right with her. The margin this time was only 0.2 second. The Smoky Hill Buffaloes also nailed third with Morgan Schulz and won the team title with a record low 5A score of 41 points.

Ian Burrell broke open a tight race with Brent Vaughn in the last 200 meters to win 5A boys in course record time of 15:19 (Vaughn's 15:33 also bettered the old course record). Colorado #1 Denver West 105 won the 5A boys team title.

Liberty sr Alex Clayton, who ran for Tallwood VA last year, won the 4A boys race in 16:02.1.
