Davis Fraker 59-11



   Nabil Murarak (Throw1deap/Grayson, Marietta, Ga.) first-round throw of 57-11 took the lead until teammate Davis Fraker (Throw1deap/McIntosh, Peachtree City, Ga.) popped the winning throw and indoor best of 59-11 in the fourth round. The mark ranks tenth on the yearly list and completed a weight double along with his weight throw win Thursday. Tony Hill (Davis, Kaysville, Ut.) second-round throw of 54-6 ¾ was good enough for third and Kyler Shumway (Prairie, Cottonwood, Id.) was fourth at 54-1 ½.
Anna Jelmini 51-5



      Anastasia Jelmini (Shafter, Ca.) just kept getting better and better. After opening at 49-10 ½ and a 49-2 she had throws of 51-0, foul, 51-0 and 51-5 to take over the national lead and move into tenth on the all-time list.  Her previous best was 50-4 outdoor in 2008. Lauren Chambers (Throw1deep/Kell, Marietta, Ga.) threw 44-6 in the second round, which held up for second, Breanna Radford (Throw1deep/Alpharetta, Ga.) was third at 44-5 ½ and J’Quyra Moncur-Blue (Throw1deep) was fourth at 42-9.

Boys

    Fourteen throwers bettered 46-0 to advance to the final. Davis Fraker (Throw1deep/McIntosh, Peachtree City, Ga.), who won the weight throw on Thursday, has the best mark of 59-8 ¼ and there are three other throwers in the final who have bests of 55-11 or better including Nabil Mubarak (Throw1deep/Grayson, Marietta, Ga.), Tony Hill (Davis, Ut.) and Kyler Shumway (Prairie, Cottonwood, Id.).       

Girls

    Fourteen throwers bettered 36-0 to advance to the final including defending State champion Anastasia Jelmini (Sanger, Ca.) who has a best of 50-4. Lauren Chambers (Throw1deep/Kell, Marietta, Ga.), who won the weight throw, Thursday, and has a best of 49-1 also qualified for the final. Ashlynn Halvorson (Higher Power/Butler, Charlotte, N.C.), Breanna Radford (Throw1deep/Alpharetta, Ga.) and Patrice Gates (Throw1deep/Villa Rica, Ga.), are all over 42-0 and advanced.
