East New York Transit Tech (Brooklyn, N.Y.) came into the meet with a best of 7:52.43 to rank third in the nation and was an easy winner at 8:00.47. In a great battle for second YMCA Team Idaho (Boise, Id.) ran 8:22.90 to defeat Wildcat (Woods Cross, Ut.), at 8:23.39, and Durango (Bayfield, Co.), at 8:23.42. Warrior Express (Centennial, Pueblo, Co.) won the B Final in 8:16.50.

Davis (Kaysville, Ut.) and Central (Cheyenne, Wy.) alternated the lead three times before Central prevailed for the win, 10:03.19 to 10:05.41.
