  • HS junior Elijah Greer OR rips a US#1 1:47.68 shocker in 800, taking down PR (from prelims!) by more than two seconds. Almost as impressive: MN prep Zach Mellon US#2 1:48.64 in 2nd. Dylan Ferris NC also under 1:50 with 1:49.49.
  • Two hour storm and lightning delay
  • Collegian Jessica Beard, two-time Junior champ as a prep, leads qualifying with 53.42; Lanie Whittaker FL wins her heat and 2nd overall 53.58; 3 other preps make final, including Akawkaw Ndipagbor 54.17
  • Collegians Letecia Wright and Teona Rodgers lead 100H qualifying, with Jackie Coward TN cruising to victory in her heat (13.81, -2.2w) and California preps Vashti Thomas, Julian Purvis, and Kori Carter also making the final.
  • Prep Dan Block IL fires the jr. weight shot (13.2 lb.) 62-01.25 for 2nd behind collegian Eric Plummer.
  • Three preps over 20 feet (wind-aided) in LJ for 3rd, 4th and 5th: Karynn Dunn CA (20-06.25w, +5.1), Constance Ezugha OK (20-05.75w, +3.4), and Brittany Porter GA (20-03w, +3.4), with collegian Shakia Forbes taking the win
  • Curtis Beach NM has a disastrous DT (17th, 93-00) to drop to 3rd place 5088 pts. after 7 events; Chase Dalton BYU takes lead at 5274 by winning DT at 147-08
  • Collegian Chelsea Carrier WVU 13.80 100H (-0.7w) takes hept lead with 1007; prep Ryann Krais PA 2nd 14.03 100H (-3.4w)
  • Curtis Beach NM 15.27 110H in Deca (-3.9w), 4656 pts. after 6 events and 109 pt. lead over Michael McCarty. Weston Leutz has best time of 14.62 (-3.9) to move into 3rd.
