Boys -

Coming into this meet Chris Green of (Crenshaw, Los Angeles, Ca.) had personal best of just 45-9. He had just three legal jumps but each was a personal best. He opened with a first round jump of  45-10 ½ for third place and remained there until the fifth round when he moved into second with a 46-5 ¼. He then won the competition on his last round jump of 47-11 to move into seventh on the yearly national list. Roger Mance of Southern California Cheetahs (Chino Hills, Ca.) jumped a personal best of 46-9 ¼ in the first round and that turned out to be good enough for second place. Emanuel Neizer of West Coast Heat (Rancho Cucamonga, Ca.) moved from seventh to second on a final-round effort of 46-5 ¼. Arnaux Brewer of James Logan (Union City, Ca.) was fourth at 46-0 ¼.  

Girls -

Ke’Nyia Richardson of E.O.Y.D.C. (St. Elizabeth, Oakland, Ca.), the national leader at 42-7, had five jumps over 42 feet including a personal best of 42-9 ¼ in the fifth round. Other jumps in the series were, 41-3 ½, 42-0 ¾, 42-1, 42-0 and 42-6 ¼. She now has the top 10 jumps in the nation this season.  Richardson’s best jump improves her position as No. 3 performer of all time. Taylor Nichols (Stockdale, Bakersfield, Ca.) was second at 39-3 and Vashti Thomas of Cardinal T.C. (Mt. Pleasant, San Jose, Ca.) was third at 38-10 ¾ to rank sixth and seventh on the yearly national list.

Boys - Twenty jumpers have bettered 41-0 to advance. Emanuel Neizer of West Coast Heat (Rancho

Cucamonga, Ca.) had the best jump at 47-7¼ outdoors in 2006. Andre’ McDonald (Park Hill, Kansas City, Mo.)

has a best of 47-0 and Rashad Evans of James Logan (Union City, Ca.) has done 46-10.

Girls - Twenty-one jumpers have bettered 32-0 to advance. The national indoor leader Ke’Nyia Richardson

of E.O.Y.D.C. (St. Elizabeth, Oakland, Ca.), who has a best of 42-7 to rank third on the all-time list, is

the leading qualifer. Outdoors, she has done 43-3 ¼. Briana Stewart of James Logan (Union City, Ca.) with

best of 41-6 wind-aided and 40-4 ¼ legal and Amanda Hunter of Marlborough (Los Angeles, Ca.) at 40-0 ¼ are

the only other jumpers over 40-0. Ciarra Brewer of James Logan T.C. (Union city, Ca.) did 38-6 ¾ last year

as a seventh grader.
