On Tuesday, swept a dual meet against Novi that saw the first five cross the line together in 17:05. On Friday, a win at Michigan State over #3 Fremont helped solidify the Pirates' hold on Number One.

Top runner Lanciaux looked extremely impressive in taking individual honors, but the Packers fell to #1 Pinckney by just 20 points. It should be noted that Coach Somers had to make a last minute replacement for a sick Andy Zahrt, so the team was not at full strength. Saline finished in third, only three points back.
