DyeStat US#1 Performances
2008-2009 Indoor Season

2/2-2/8 Notables
  • The two biggest meets of the weekend were narrow in scope, but insane in quality.  Between them, the Reebok Boston Indoor Games and New Balance Collegiate meet had just 14 high school events, yet US#1 marks were set in 9 of them.  That included two US records and seven more marks that made the all-time top five list.
  • Depth-wise, the boys 600 got a serious working-over.  That field probably generated the most pre-meet excitement at New Balance and the participants justified it.  Anthony Hendrix, Terrance Livingston, Andrew Hendrix and Clayton Parros went 1-2-3-4 on the US list and moved to 2-3-5-6 all-time.
  • While providing the US#1 with Mac Fleet's 4:09.06, the Reebok Boston Indoor Games boys junior mile also was the first ever with four under 4:10 and nine under 4:14. (Thanks to High School Track's Jack Shepherd)
  • New Hampshire may be indeed be one of the only states to contest 1500 meters at the state level, but Cory Sinotte (3:59.59) and Rachel Schneider (4:38.57) have done well to carry the #1 banner with marks respectable vis a vis the mile and 1600 leaders.
  • New Bern's boys and Eleanor Roosevelt's girls each have two relay #1s to their names.  Anyone want to bet that by season's end, they'll also be US#1 in the sprint medley?  The event is tailor-made for the makeup of the two schools' sets of talent and both schools will probably run it at Nike Indoor.
