On the side watching his daughter was Olympic and world champion hurdler Allen Johnson. His daughter, Tristine, was 4th in both the 200meters and the triple jump. Allen won a gold medal in the 110 hurdles at the 1996 Olympics in Atlantic Georgia. He lives in Irmo SC.
